Rapid Prototyping
Truly innovative ideas are precious commodities. The right idea can, at the very least, make your daily work and business significantly easier. Or, at the other extreme, the right innovation can change how people live and work.
Either way, the professionals of Synse Solutions have years of experience in turing ideas into reality. Time to market is very important in today's competitive environment. In order to launch your new idea, you need a team that is comfortable working under tight deadlines while exploring new technologies and creating new techniques. A functional proof-of-concept is critical in helping you secure financing, to gain investors, and to demonstrate your commitment to your idea.
Synse professionals will treat your project as their own. They will exhaustively work to understand your idea thoroughly, then work equally as hard at delivering quickly.
A new idea or innovation can be a sensitive subject. Synse consultants are flexible and easy to work with. We will frankly and honestly discuss all facets of the prototyping effort. We have worked under NDAs, and are willing to discuss or negotiate intellectual property issues under flexible compensation terms.
Below are some of our rapid prototyping successes.
iSCSI Deployment Tool
Accomplished design and development of deployment tools for an iSCSI storage subsystem for IBM xSeries. Used Java as the programming language. Introduced an iterative design approach that led to rapid prototyping of the tool. The design and development process allowed for the project to progress from concept to beta version in 3 months.
SnapLM - Snapshot Management Tools
Designed and coded a change to command code in the IBM TotalStorage NAS Gateway 500. SnapLM was an enhancement to the snapshot function of the machine that enabled linked snapshots to be exported via NFS. This was a function previously not available on the product or on standard AIX hosts running the JFS2 filesystem. Due to an urgent customer request, SnapLM was a piece of software that needed to be rapidly developed. The code was designed, tested, and deployed to IBM NAS customers in 1 month!
